t-Ball

I'm not sure if I want to put my boys names out there for the world quite yet so I am going to change their names for now. Matthew will be the older one and Jacob will be the younger. Ok now that that is taken care of ......Matthew has been playing t-ball since he was three and when he started out it was just funny and frustrating to see him out there crying half the time and laughing the rest. I thought to myself someday he will get the hang of it and until then I will enjoy the good times and get through the rough. So now he is almost six and still hanging in there.

We switched teams after the first season because his coach was a loony man with issues, will explain later, and now we love the team he is on and most importantly he loves the coaches and the team. I am the team mom and I love helping the team and the boys with everything I can.
In the two years the team has been together we have had some kids come and go but for the most part they have all stayed which is great and means we are doing something right. WOO HOO GO CUBS!!!!! Last year we had a kid who was great and a joy to have but his dad was wound a little to tight, he had all the suggestions but no follow through which lets just admit it is annoying as heck. So needless to say he thought he could do better and left the team to coach his own. Good Riddance!!!!

This week we played his team and it is supposed to be for fun which it was but it felt like we were at a Red Sox's vs. Yankee game. The stands were cheering with all their might and the kids were rooting for each other. Our boys were on point. Hitting was great, fielding was fast, and our coaches were pushing our boys to do there best. It was one of the best games since we started second only to the one where Matthew hit his 1st home run. Some of the other parents and myself said from the beginning I hope the boys go out there and show this guy that our team is best and basically stick it to him, and they did WE WON 12 to 10. Not a blow out but the best part was seeing the guy lose his cool. He looked like one of the boys pouting. I know it is not nice to gloat but I was so proud of our team we win with grace and lose with dignity. Can't wait for next week we play them again.
